We are constantly working to improve the processes related to ownership in private companies and capital events. Our latest step in this direction is to offer integrated digital document signing directly from our documents module. This feature is currently available on all plans.
The process is simple:
Sometimes documents are for certain eyes only and you can manage this by setting an access level on the folder your document resides in. For board meetings for instance, create a group with all of your board members and restrict the access level on your folder to this group only. (SuperAdmin and Admins always have access)
If someone needs a little push you can always send a reminder from the status pane. Once everyone has signed the document, the progress pane will disappear and the new signed document will replace your original unsigned document in the folder. You can easily see what documents have been signed by the checkmark added to the file icon.
