About Resqunit
Resqunit is a Norwegian startup that aims to reduce the global impact of lost fishing gear (aka Ghost Gear) by inventing affordable and easy-to-use products for securing fishing gear.
Resqunits solutions are based on our reserve-buoy that is mounted on fishing gear like lobster trap and crab pots. If a trap is in the water for an extended period of time, the unit releases the floatation buoy. The buoy floats to the surface and the gear can be hauled from the ocean. The fishers save money and an environmental hazard is removed from the ocean. More sustainable fishing through knowledge, awareness and innovative products

Fundraising made easy
The company was founded in 2018 and has per january 2021 more than 200 investors on board. After a highly successful crowdfunding earlier, Resqunit started using OwnersRoom to stay in touch with all their new shareholders and recently used it to raise a new round from their existing investors.
